Welcome to Bear Branch Village!

Bear Branch Village Pool Party

THE RACHEL ZIENTEK
BIG TOP FUND RAISER & BBQ

On August 7th, the Kingwood/Humble community will  join together with hundreds of others to help assist the family of 16-yr-old Rachel Zientek, with their mounting medical expenses as she fights to recover from a fiery plane crash in Alaska that has left her with burns on a large percentage of her body and other very serious injuries.

Her father, Officer Mike Zientek, is taking time off as a Houston police officer (who serves Kingwood/Forest Cove) to be with Rachel in Seattle, where she is in serious condition at the burn intensive care unit of Harborview Medical Center. She will likely remain in the hospital for two to three months, then undergo in-patient rehabilitation.

You can help us help Rachel and her family, by donating in-kind items for this event, sponsoring a booth, or making an underwriting donation which will help offset the costs of this fundraiser and thus, help us send more to the Zientek family. By supporting this event, you are not only helping Rachel, but also her entire family. Rachel Zientek's father, Mike, is thankful to all who helped rescue his
daughter and for everything that they did to save her life and the lives of those who survived. "I'm just so thankful that she's alive and the injuries we can deal with."

Our goal for THE RACHEL ZIENTEK BIG TOP FUND RAISER & BBQ is to raise at least $10,000 at this 6 hour event, which represents less than $1.00 per resident in Humble and Kingwood. Please help us reach that goal with your support. If you wish, you may mail all or part of your payment amount today in the self-addressed stamped envelope enclosed with this letter. Or, one of our 9 committee members (or other volunteers) will be happy to pick up your check, cash or donation, from your place of business.

The address to mail your support  of  THE RACHEL ZIENTEK BIG TOP FUND RAISER & BBQ is: C/O The Itty Bitty Charity Committee, P. O. Box 6915, Kingwood, TX 77325:  Please make your check payable to: A Grand Affair - Rachel Zientek Fund.

Our deadline to get all donations and sponsorships in is July 26th. Following the event, we will send out a brief recap of the THE RACHEL ZIENTEK BIG TOP FUND RAISER & BBQ to all our sponsors
and the media.

In the far northeastern corner of Harris County, five miles beyond the orbit of Houston's outermost loop, thoughts of traffic, smog and stress begins to dissolve, being replaced by the serenity of lakes and forests surrounding quaint "villages".

That sense of "awe" is known well by the 65,000 residents who call Kingwood home. The brainchild of residential development pioneer Friendsworth Friendswood Development Company, Kingwood is the largest master-planned community in Harris County.

Built in 1970 Kingwood quickly became a flagship community for other quality low-impact subdivisions around the country. Sort of a trendsetter for the smart growth and green building concepts that would took take another 20 years for other developers to catch on.

Central to Kingwood's "Livable Forest" design are its trees. Lots and lots of trees. 14,000 acres to be exact. Kingwood's forest is indeed the unifying principle that surrounds and connects Kingwood's 27 subdivisions or "villages" as the locals call them. It is the forest that shades Kingwood's ample parks and greenbelts and lines its award winning golf courses and adjacent Lake Houston.

In the heart of the Livable Forest, is Bear Branch Village, a unique village of Kingwood, Texas. Its central location affords quick access to major highways while offering a peaceful respite from city noise and bustle.

More than 1,000 custom built homes are nestled in the dense, mature woods of pine, oak and magnolia; which helps to cool and clean the air, provides a wind and sound barrier, and provides a habitat for wildlife. Making it the perfect development for beautifying our environment while preserving our natural resources

It's obvious this community appreciates full well the aesthetic and commercial value that old growth trees, much less forests, add to a property.

Kingwood's wooded surroundings and green-friendly master-plan have helped Kingwood grow into a charming small town, where residents find the ideal combination of new homes, amenities, conveniences and outstanding schools all close to home.
